Shopping madness 29.12.05

It is always a magical moment to watch kids (actually one of mine is too young to notice he got gifts) opening their presents and becoming crazy with so many boxes. Some very surprising gifts for my wife and family, and the usual ones to me (dress shirt, wine…) Now shopping really starts. Once Santa Claus’ day is gone, shops start their winter sales. 20%, 30% off this week, up to 80% in a few weeks. Why would I bother buying things at any time during the year when the real deals are for now? It is freezing these days. Snow in the garden, in the city, buses are late, cars without snow tires experience ice skating and I can’t warm my body. 3 coffees. Doesn’t work. I am one of these people who complain when it is too cold, and who argues that they can’t stand for humidity and high temperatures. Where should I live then? This picture is one I took in Ginza last summer. F/2.8, 40mm. For any reason it gives me some Xmas shopping feelings, even it this was in August.

Whoua this is a nice shot ! Lot of life, lot of light. It is true that it presents a typical Christmas atmosphere even if we see, from people's clothes, that this is rather summertime.
    Love this one.

    Thanks.
This is one of my favourite place in Tokyo. I seat on the terrasse of Cafe Doutor or on the 1st floor (even if this is smoky...) and watch people, cars (well, mainly beautiful women walking around with their shopping bags)
